We are Officially A Waiting Family

WE ARE OFFICIALLY A WAITING FAMILY!

We know that God’s timing is perfect and that we will trust in his plan for this sweet baby! Our family, community, and friends are all praying and rallying for this baby and for his/her sweet birth momma. We pray they all know how deeply they are loved.

 

What does it mean to be a waiting family?

The average wait time with our agency is 7 to 9 months. It could be shorter or longer than this and THAT IS OK! We are leaning on God’s perfect timing for this!

There are many circumstances/situations that could lead to us being matched. Here are a few examples. An expectant mom working directly with our agency (Christian Adoption Services) could choose our family from our profile book (similar to a shutterfly book) or she could find our profile on their website. She could be working with our agency and choose to have the agency select a family for her. Or it could be a direct hospital placement.

We fully trust our agency throughout the “matching” process. They serve an amazing ministry and work in such loving ways with birth moms. The most important reason why we partnered with CAS is the amazing work they do behind the scenes in LOVING and providing resources for expectant moms and their families.

 

Prayer Requests:

•         Being prepared financially through fundraising when we are matched. We know that God’s plan is perfect and he will provide. It is really challenging to TRUST this with SUCH large goals/needs for fundraising. Please pray for our fundraising efforts to continue to be successful and for peace of mind for us during the fundraising process.

We have raised about $18,000 so far and we have $18,000 left to raise.

•         Pray for this sweet baby and for their birth mom. We pray that she knows that she is LOVED immensely. She is courageous, and is choosing a difficult and selfless path because of love for her child.
