Update: Starting the adoption process and Fundraising Goals!

Happy News!

We were just notified that on April 27th we will have our opportunity to begin the process with Christian Adoption Services! We will participate in a much anticipated virtual information session followed by submitting our formal application to partner with Christian Adoption Services for our adoption journey. This is a really exciting next step in our adoption journey and we are so excited to share this news with you!

We created this blog with the intention of keeping our village informed and to educate others about the adoption process and advocate for RELENTLESS and unconditional love through adoption. If you have been following the blog, you know our goal is transparency. We want to advocate for this process. We want to motivate others who may be thinking about adoption, educate those who may not know anything about the adoption process, and provide a way for others to help along the way!

In our previous updates, we have briefly discussed a very tangible aspect of adoption; the financial expense. At first, this aspect is what kept us from making the commitment of growing our family through adoption. Our mindset has since evolved through our relationship with prayer and understanding God’s plans for our family. We have heard several times from various people we have spoken to for guidance and advice on the process to not let the financial cost keep you from choosing adoption. God will provide. Our village will rally. The financial cost will be provided…and we are seeing this happen!

We wanted to share with you our fundraising efforts to date. Keep in mind, our first goal with starting the fundraising process before the formal application was to cover the initial cost of the application ($300) and the home study process ($1,800). We are thrilled to share with you that those goals have been met! Our village has rallied. YOU have provided and we are so blessed and thankful for your unconditional and RELENTLESS support thus far! The total cost for our adoption process is $35,000 so we have a long way to go but we are off to a great start thanks to all of you!

Our next goal is to reach $10,000 which is the next fee due after the homestudy process. This fee covers being placed on the waiting list to be matched with a birth family.

Here are our fundraisers thus far and proceeds from each. If you are curious about any of these or wish to contribute toward these initiatives further please contact us!
